This was a Christmas present given to Betty Ward (Mum) by her granddaughter Kate Faulkner when she was a little girl. It is a hard-covered book with spaces for the 'Grandma' to fill in the details of her life. Mum had faithfully filled quite a bit of it out. She had put a lot of work into it, including making up some montage images of her favourite photos.
Two example pages are shown right.
The PDF version below has been reduced in size to make it easier to download. If anyone wants to print out a copy, the full-sized file is about 250 MB, so I would have to send you a copy on CD.
The pages of writing have been scanned. Where there are photos on the page, the scanned quality was very poor, so I have digitally replaced then with Mum's original montages, which I was able to get from her computer files. I have not bothered with the blank pages.Â
At the time of writing, I think the original is with Liz, with then intention that it will go to Kate in the long run (as it should).
