Chapter 1: Family roots

This is part one of my book. It covers the ancestry of our family before the immigrants left to come to Australia. It has not been possible to trace the ancestry of all those who came to australia. In some cases we don't have enough information about the person's early life to trace their parents. In other cases, particularly with the Irish ancestors, the records needed to trace their ancestry probably does not exist.

The chapter is organised by the area of Britain from which the people came. The families covered in this chapter include the following:
